THE ECLIPSE
BlackSunshine Arts
'N' Entertainment is dedicated to bringing up the best poets for our city. The Eclipse is a youth program that
will do that. Poets age 13-19
are coached by BlackSunshine poets to write at their best and become the
best poets that they can be.
It is an amazing program that teaches young writers the power of
words and exposes them to the world of spokenword poetry and slam. Youth are taken on trips throughout
the year to either participate or spectate slam events.

Youth that are
interested in the Eclipse program need to follow the steps below to
participate. There are a
limited number of spaces as poets do not need to be overloaded with
students so that students can get the best mentoring experience
possible. Parents will need to
be involved with the process.
BlackSunshine Poets and Eclipse poets will perform two big shows a
year to showcase the poetry that has been written and the skills that have
been learned throughout the year.
