The RECAP and UPDATES
In the month of May we were graced by the one and only Tavis "Da Minista" Brunson
from Charlotte, NC. Tavis wowed and amazed the audience with his grace and style
on the mic and we raised enough money to send the Regional and National Teams to
Southern Fried Poetry Slam.
The month of June proved as awesome as Ocean came from Charlotte, NC and
graced the Knoxville Poetry Slam Stage. Not to mention Mud Jones coming from
Indianapolis, IN for the music portion of the June Fund Raiser. We had a great time
doing poetry and music right in the Corner Lounge.
The sad thing is that Knoxville Poetry Slam will not be meeting for the month of July
at the Corner Lounge. However, we are looking for venues so if you have any
ideas....please let us know!

the Southern Fried Regional Slam in Columbia, SC
and the National Team will represent Knoxville in
Austin, TX in August.
